Congress awaiting ground permission for Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra

Congress is awaiting ground permission from the Manipur government for its Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. The party leaders met the state chief secretary and were assured of a response on Monday. The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee president said the rally will be peaceful and not intended for politicization. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will launch the yatra from Imphal on January 14, with the aim of delivering a message ahead of the general election. Manipur has been plagued by ethnic violence, resulting in numerous casualties.
