Karnataka Congress strategically deploys Laxman Savadi to secure Lingayat votes

Laxman Savadi, a former BJP deputy chief minister, has joined Congress and is working to gain the support of the Lingayat community in north Karnataka. His defection, along with Jagadish Shettar, has been a reason for BJP's defeat. Congress is steadily gaining support in the Lok Sabha polls with Savadi's efforts.
