CJI: New criminal laws put our legal framework into new age

Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud gave enthusiastic approval to the new criminal laws scheduled for enforcement starting July 1, stating on Thursday, "These laws signify a watershed moment for our society because no law affects the day-to-day conduct of our society like the criminal law." CJI said BNSS encompassed a holistic approach to deal with crimes in the digital age.
