Netflix raising prices for standard and premium plans in the U.S. and Canada

Netflix Inc. has raised its monthly subscription price in the U.S. and Canada by $1 to $2 US per month depending on the plan, the company said Friday, to help pay for new programming to compete in the crowded streaming market.
