Israel hits Hamas positions after rocket launched from Gaza

(MENAFN) On Wednesday morning, Mar. 24 Israeli army announced it hit military sites in the Gaza Strip after a rocket from Gaza struck southern Israel the previous day. A report released by the military said that in the overnight attack, war jets and attack helicopters hit a rocket manufacturing place and a military site that belongs to Hamas, an Islamist Palestinian outfit that governs Gaza. There were no instantaneous reports of wounds from the attack. According to the report, the assault was "a response to the rocket fired from the Gaza Strip at Israeli territory."
