Leader of Islamic Revolution urges US to lift all sanctions

(MENAFN)Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei reiterated Iran�s position on the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, urging the US to remove all sanctions before Iran returns to its commitments under the agreement. Ayatollah Khamenei stated that �Americans must remove all sanctions and then we will verify. If [the sanctions] are removed in the true sense of the word, we will return to our JCPOA commitments without any problem. This is [our] definite policy.� In his yearly speech on the occasion of the Persian New Year, the Leader made his declarations. This policy is confirmed upon by all Iranian officials and will not be changed, he further stated. The Leader addressed the current state of play amid Iran and the US and the situation around the nuclear agreement (JCPOA). He further declared that the so-called �maximum pressure� policy adopted by former US President Donald Trump toward Iran following leaving the JCPOA has failed.
