Iran put manufacturing of 1.2M cars on agenda

(MENAFN)According to IRNA, Iranian Industry, Mining, and Trade Ministry�s programs for this Iranian year declared that the producing of 1.2 million cars was put on the agenda. As Iranian automakers manufactured 984,200 such vehicles in the last year, the country�s car output is set to raise more than 21 percent in this year, stated the Industry Ministry data. The production of 8,968 buses, minibuses and vans is set for this year that would be an improvement of 378 percent in the current sector, according to the report. Domestic automakers planned to manufacture only 1,873 units of such vehicles in the previous year. Production of 330,000 tons of tires was put on the agenda, to record an improvement of 18.6 percent in comparison to the 278,200 tons produced in the last year.
