(MENAFN - Gulf Times) Birla Public School (BPS) recently celebrated ‘World Hand Hygiene Day’ with the message – ‘Save lives, clean your hands’. The day at BPS highlighted significance of maintaining global promotion, visibility, and sustainability of hand hygiene in health care. The main idea of observing the day was to recognise hand washing as one of the most effective actions to avoid different infections including Covid-19 virus. A special virtual interactive session was organised with BPS kindergarteners. The facilitators enlightened the students about the importance of maintaining continuous personal hygiene. The students were inspired to clean their hands thoroughly with activities planned for the day. The students were also encouraged to prepare posters related to hand hygiene. The response from students through posters and pictures was overwhelming. The students under the guidance of teachers in EVS and English departments participated in varied activities like hand washing, chart making, composing jingles and many more. A PowerPoint presentation and a video added to the day's event list. BPS also announced the complete execution of ‘WHO’ multimodal hand hygiene improvement strategy. The students will be taking up a task to wash their hands in intervals of four times, per wash for 20 seconds.    MENAFN21052021000067011011ID1102111741
