(MENAFN - Saudi Press Agency) Islamabad, Jun 19, 2021, SPA -- Pakistan on Saturday reported its lowest daily coronavirus-related death toll in nearly three months amid signs that its third wave of the pandemic is slowing. At least 27 people died during the last 24 hours, dpa quoted the Health Ministry as saying. The toll is the lowest since March. Most of the deaths occurred during the ongoing third wave. Pakistan has so far recorded 947,218 cases and 21,940 deaths. A persistent downward trend in new infections has brought the national positivity ratio to 2.14 per cent: There were 991 new cases detected in 46,269 tests over the past day. This is the second time during the week the country reported less than 1,000 daily cases. --SPA 13:41 LOCAL TIME 10:41 GMT 0013 MENAFN19062021000078011016ID1102307916
