Turkey's major stock index reaches new record on Monday

(MENAFN) On Monday, Turkey's major stock index increased to reach another record ending of 1,702.49 points, though it reached a fresh all-time high level within a single trading day of 1,710.79 points in the session. After beginning the day at 1,672.35 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose to 63.99 point, or 3.91 percent, up from Friday's ending of 1,638.50 points. This was the eighth trading day in a row that the BIST 100 recorded an all-time high, and the ninth consecutive day that the index ended with profits. Its lowest worth in the trading day was 1,672.35 points and its everyday high was 1,710.79 points.
