GOP senators short of needed votes for Trump’s controversial fed pick

Senate Majority Whip John Thune, R-S.D, confirmed Tuesday that the U.S. Senate is short the 51 votes needed to confirm President Trump’s controversial pick of Judy Shelton, to serve  on the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate-setting committee.
