German Government Considers Vaccine Mandates For Unvaccinated Residents, Plans Implementing Lockdowns

The German government said that it was considering impementing new measures to better combat the coronavirus pandemic in the region amid the spread of the new Omicron variant. Chancellor Angela Merkel said that authorities could enforce a general vaccine mandate.
