*NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / July 20, 2023 / *Women Grow LLC, the largest professional network for women in the cannabis industry, announced today that Gia Morón will step down as president of the company effective July 31st to focus on her business ventures. Dr. Chanda Macias, Chairwoman of the Board of Managers and CEO of Women Grow, will continue to lead the business.

Morón joined the Women Grow New York market in 2016, then transitioned into headquarter leadership in 2018, having created and led many initiatives for the company. During her tenure, Morón established strategic partnerships with leading cannabis businesses such as Curaleaf, Trulieve, and Etain; created community and educational programming including the Emmanuel Baptist Church and Women Grow "Business of Cannabis Summit"; and advised Medgar Evers College's Cannabis program and Yale School of Business "Business of Legal Cannabis" conference. Morón worked with the cannabis industry's biggest expos on creating the first women focused branded programming - Benzinga x Women Grow - Invest In Her, Cannabis World Congress Business Expo (CWCBE) for the Women Grow Pavilion and the Women Grow LIVE Experience at MJBizCon - all while continuing to run her other business GVM Communications, Inc.
