As someone who works on a laptop, I use the Alt + Tab window switcher in Windows 10 quite a lot, as it allows me to jump from one window to another much faster than using the touchpad.   This is something that many other people out there do too, and Microsoft knows this very well. This is the reason the company has recently introduced an update in Windows 10, bringing Microsoft Edge tabs to the window switcher. In other words, beginning with Windows 10 version 20H2, you can no longer switch to Microsoft Edge, but to actually an active tab within the browser, and this overall makes the experience much more straightforward.
