Microsoft has started rolling out a new Photos app to users enrolled in the Windows Insider program and running Windows 11 preview build. Originally teased earlier this week, the updated Photos app comes with refreshed UI that includes all the modern Windows 11 interface improvements, including the rounded corners. Furthermore, there’s also a dark mode, which makes perfect sense given the same visual style is also available at OS level. While only select insiders are getting the new Photos app right now, everybody should be able to try out the new version in the coming weeks, especially because Windows 11 is close to reaching the RTM phase. According to Microsoft’s official release calendar, Windows 11 will start rolling out to production devices on October 5, so in theory, the operating system should be signed off at some point this month.
