Sony has released a new firmware package targeted at its PlayStation 5 consoles, namely version 21.02-04.00.00, which allows owners to connect to the expansion slot a PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD (min: 250GB / max: 4TB) and use it to install and play games. In addition to that, PS5 owners can now use 3D audio through the TV speakers, PS Remote Play app to access PS5 via mobile data from an Android or iOS/iPadOS device, new fonts in Media Gallery, and the audio EQ feature in (Sound) for PULSE 3D wireless headsets. Besides these features, the current firmware also refreshes the Games home screen, Game Library, Game Base control menu, Trophies, Control Center, PlayStation Now, Parental Controls, as well as other changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.
