Evacuation Order Lifted As Piney Point Wastewater ‘Uncontrolled Breach’ Averted

Newly released images of the Piney Point Reservoir in Manatee County show noticeably lower water levels after a leak was discovered this weekend and officials scrambled to drain the holding pond in efforts to prevent millions of gallons of wastewater from spilling into nearby homes and businesses.
