Simon Cowell breaks his back after falling off his new electric trail bike
Simon Cowell has taken to Twitter from his hospital bed after breaking his back in a fall from his bicycle.
The 60-year-old America’s Got Talent (AGT) judge was hospitalized on Saturday following the accident at his home in Malibu, Calif., and underwent overnight surgery to fix the problem.

Addressing the fall on his social media page, Cowell posted: “Some good advice… If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time. I have broken part of my back. Thank you to everyone for your kind messages.”
Cowell was rushed to the hospital after falling off of his electric bike, with sources claiming he is lucky as the impact of his fall only just missed his spinal cord.

The music mogul then had to undergo a six-hour surgery after breaking his back in multiple places. Surgeons had to fuse his bones and implant a rod during the operation.
The star will have to sit out of at least two live AGT episodes as he recovers, with his co-judges Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara sending good wishes to their pal.
“I’m next to Simon’s trailer… I just wanted to say I miss you Simon and get well soon!” Klum said on her Instagram Story. “It’s very sad.”

Vergara shared the same photo on her Instagram, writing: “We miss our boss!! Come back fast @simoncowell!!”
