Kroger Swings to Loss on Opioid Settlement

Kroger swung to a loss in the latest quarter as it incurred a $1.4 billion charge related to a nationwide opioid settlement. In a separate deal, the grocery giant said it would divest itself of hundreds of stores as it seeks approval for its merger with Albertsons .
