Four people were wounded in what was initially reported to be a drive-by shooting in Reading

And... police say the victims were found over a three block span.

3 >>jim vasil: wendy, rob, moss street was lined with people just moments after the shooting, you could see the concern on their faces.

Tonight, police have their work cut out for them.


Damon kloc "we have an enormous amount of work here to do this evening."

>>reporter shocked and worried residents flocked to moss street in reading on what ?was a lazy labor day evening.

Police are piecing together a shooting that left four injured-- two of them suffering serious injuries.


Damon kloc "we're doing a very extreme canvas that's stretching over multiple city blocks."

>>reporter police say it began in the 600 block of moss, where two victims were shot.

Then, they say bullets flew up and down the street, hitting one person in each of the 400 and 700 blocks.

>>nat >>reporter victims were stretchered away as neighbors stood by on pins and needles.>>nat siren >>reporter police say they've already brought witnesses down to city hall.

Right now, police are still looking for a suspect.


Damon kloc "it's going to take some time to kind of go through witness accounts to determine exactly what happened."
