The latest superhero movie 'Deadpool 2' has recently hit the big screen and sees Ryan Reynolds return as the merc with a mouth, but as far as he's concerned, he's not returning because he never left the character.
Quote: Ryan Reynolds "It's consumed it to a certain degree, and that's fine, it's become sort of, you don't get the variety of oh I'm going to do this movie and that movie and this movie because Deadpool is a full-time job so it's sort of, Deadpool 2 we've been working on since we finished Deadpool 1 and I love it, it's really made me appreciate what it's like to find your spot in this crazy business." It's consumed his life so much that he can't imagine having any superpowers other than the ones his character does.
Quote: Ryan Reynolds "If I had super powers I'd probably do some pretty naughty things, I would probably8 do the same stuff 'Deadpool's doing considering we sort of share the same brain." But that doesn't mean he lives his everyday life as Deadpool.
Quote: Ryan Reynolds "I'm responsible Ryan Reynolds, not the superhero Deadpool, for my children and making a better world for them and so I take that job pretty seriously." While he can slip in and out of character where needed, from the sounds of things, his wife Blake Lively doesn't really mind if he's Ryan or Deadpool when he gets home from a long day of shooting.
Quote: Ryan Reynolds "She saw a screening of an early cut of the movie and she just flipped out and it was a lot of fun.
It's fun to have her see it because she'd read parts of the script, but she didn't know that much." Which can only be a good thing.
Ryan's career, like most other, has had both highs and lows.
Now he's at the highest point though, he's able to look back over his life, but he wouldn't change a thing.
Quote: Ryan Reynolds "All roads lead to here.
I wouldn't be here if I didn't have the good and the bad you know, different things have happened that I look back on and think oh god that was a really tough time, that was a period in my life that felt like a real valley and but… we've all had our ups and downs and our highs and lows and you, those are what make you who you are.
If your life is just perfect and your cruising the whole time, you're not really creative character.
You're not cultivating aspects of your character outside of what you're comfortable with." And cultivating aspects of your character is of course very important.
You can check out Ryan's most famous character now as 'Deadpool 2' has recently been released.
