Russia Tells U.S. To Stop Provoking Iran

According to a report by Reuters, on Tuesday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told the United States to drop what it called provocative plans to deploy more troops to the Middle East and cease actions that appear to be a conscious attempt to provoke war with Iran.

The comments followed an announcement by Acting U.S. Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan on Monday who announced Washington's plan to send approximately 1,000 more troops to the Middle East for defensive purposes.
