Paradise population decreases 90% since Camp Fire

The town of Paradise has lost more than 90% of its population since the devastating Camp Fire in November of 2018.

Town of paradise has lost more than 90- percent of its population since last year's devastating camp fire.

The number comes from governor gavin newsom's office thursday.

A door-to-door survey in april counted two thousand 34 residents in the town.

That's down from previously released state figures back on january first.

The town's population before the fire was estimated at nearly 27 thousand.
