Denmark’s prime minister recently responded to reports of President Donald Trump’s interest in buying Greenland.She said the country is not for sale and the idea of selling it to the U.S. is absurd.

An economic adviser for Trump confirmed the U.S. is interested in buying the large island.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said: “I strongly hope that this is not meant seriously.” According to Reuters, Trump confirmed the subject was talked about and said it was “strategically” interesting.
