Klobuchar slams Trump for 'pissing off' Denmark

"He has made, at last count, 10,200 broken promises," Klobuchar said, speaking at the Iowa Federation of Labor conference in Altoona, where Democratic candidates were vying for union support on Wednesday.

With so many labor-friendly Democratic candidates in the mix, unions have increased clout in the 2020 election.

But there will be stiff competition to get their formal backing, and endorsements may come later than in past cycles.

Unions are a force in Democratic politics and endorsements can be a powerful force in primaries and general elections, marshalling the support of millions of union members across the country.
