Turkey claims they've already killed over 200 terrorists during their campaign ... while 60 thousand kurds have been displaced from their homes.

According to a state department official ... trump is hoping to negotiate a cease-fire between syrian and turkish forces.

Extreme santa ana winds and hot weather have caused multiple fires across southern california.

In the northern part of the state ...pacific gas and electric faced criticism from residents and california's governor.

Residents say pg and e's system should have been improved to avoid blackouts during fire season.

((ad lib weather)) the city of la crosse is moving forward with the purchase of the property at 621 3-rd street north not all council members favored the purchase since the building is nearly 100 years old and shows a lot of wear and tear.

The city is looking to make the property a welcome center, multi- use facility or farmer's market.

The dahl family ymca branch in la crosse is closed until futher notice.

Police officers could be seen going in and out of the branch on main street.

In a message to members... the y' did not say why the branch was closed.

People are being told to visit the houser branch in onalaska instead.

Gundersen health system parenting programs continue to help families... and local college students.

Parents raising resilient children' and the positive parenting program' give adults positive parenting skills.

The program is offered at no cost four times a year.... but people can join in at any time.

Temperatures are forecasted to reach into the mid-30s the next few nights ...which means the first frost of the fall is coming soon.

Plant owners should pull any pots inside before cold weather moves in.

Also ... any dead dead or dying plants should be removed ... and a layer of mulch can help soil health.
