The goal of the project is to collect clothing for veterans in Douglas County to make sure they stay warm during the holidays.

Myrtle Creek Elks Lodge collects winter clothing for veterans

Members of the myrtle creek elks lodge are asking for clothing donations to help keep veterans in douglas county warm -- just in time for the holidays.

Organizers kicked off their second annual operation warm and coz?

Clothing drive in early november.

They are asking for clean coats, blankets, hats, scarves and gloves in adult sizes.

When the clothing drive ends, organizers say they will be donated to the roseburg v-a hospital and veterans in assisted living facilities in south douglas county.

Sot: 00:08 the drive is in partnership with aviva heath, a local health care provider in douglas county.

Organizers say theye already collected more than three hundred pieces of clothing.

If you want to donate, items can be dropped off at all aviva health locations, ed and mo diner, the happy donut and mid-town grill in myrtle creek
