Most people set up their Christmas lights after Thanksgiving, but one man in Post Falls has been planning his display since July.

Most people set up their christmas lights after thanksgiving -- one man in post falls has been planning his display since july.

It's so big and bright -- you can see it from i-90.

You can walk right through new on nightside, kyle simchuk shows us what inspired this unique light show.

Over 50-thousand programmable led bulbs, more than a mile of extention cords -- and several months of planning and building.

17:31:16"i just drove by one day, i saw them setting it up so i knew i had to bring the kids one day."

:03mike connolly designed and programmed the show -- that's him right there -- he's really camera shy.

17:28:38 20-26"my husband just wants to bring a lot of smiles to families and kids and enjoy the holiday seasons."

:0417:29:49"they can walk through the tunnels and they can enjoy it from their car -- tune into 101.5 fm radio station."

Nats tree and music there's christmas music, even star wars.

Who built the displays and scaled the 40 foot tall light tree.

Yes, it was a lot of work, but for mike -- seeing all the smiles and all the families walk through, is well worth it.
