////////////// alia: if you follow union health on facebook, you probably saw this post on their page a few hours ago earlier in the day, and it's actually why we're here tonight... and when you see this equipment it's in response to the coronavirus, covid-19... and officials want you to know it's not about being scared... this is about being prepared.
It's not hard to miss this mobile medical unit at union hospital.
Right in front of its emergency entrance... officials say this is what preparedness looks like.
This equipment comes with the necessary tools... and space... to treat patients with covid-19 symptoms. the tents and trailers include lighting... heating and cooling... a surgical suite... and even a mobile e-r- unit.
Officials say this would only be used if union saw a significant number of people needing treatment.
While this is all about being ahead of the game... leaders say the possibilties... of this virus hitting here at home... is nothing to take lightly.
