UK students move out

Move out begins, deadline March 27

### university of kentucky students have started moving off campus.

Earlier this week... the university informed students living in the dorms they would need to move out to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Students started moving on thursday.

They have until march 27th to be out of the dorms. in keeping with social distancing practices... the university says students are making appointments to move out so there are not a large number of them moving out at once.

According to the university... some students may be allowed to continue living on campus if they have extenuating circumstances.

We talked to some students and their parents moving out today...who say the short notice has made it even more difficult to pack up and get home.

"student:this move out day was supposed to be months from now.

And you know, this was supposed to be our spring break and we didn't go anywhere because of the virus and we wanted to stay home and stay safe.

And we're really dissappointed that freshman year got cut so short."

Students say online classes start back up monday.

Uk originally said it would only offer online instruction for two weeks after spring break...but now the rest of the semester will be completed online.
