Spokesperson karen huxtable-hooker says bassett has been contacted by the state.
In a statement to news channel 2....huxtable-hooker said...quote... "the network has been preparing for this since the cdc declared the situation a public health emergency of international concern jan 30.
New york's governor declared a state of emergency earlier this month and has made clear the need to identify currently available beds and ventilators, as well as other rooms and spaces within all health care facilities that can be converted for this purpose.
So far, we've been able to identify an additional 120 beds, which brings capacity in the bassett network so far to more than 300 beds and the work continues to identify additional spaces for conversion with the goal of submitting our current situation to the governor's office and new
