Extending its bill assistance program... to customers who have lost their jobs because of coronavirus.

And, they're expecting a surge of applications, when it opens tomorrow.

Kezi 9 news reporter jacob roberts joins us live from e-web headquarters this morning.

Who can apply for this assistance?

E-web normally offers 260 dollars in assistance a year if you meet the income requirements.

But they are extending that program to people who have lost their job due to the outbreak.

You do need some proof.

If you need to apply, you'll want to read all the instructions ahead of time and get documents ready.

You'll need your eweb account number, and proof of income eligibility or unemployment benefits.

The utility offers the 260 dollar credit annually to customers who meet income guidelines.

They'll start taking applications at 9 tomorrow morning.

It's first come, first served.

They say you can use their online form... to avoid long wait times on the phone.
