Staying home and social distancing is causing some major routine shifts for a lot of families here in the lowcountry.
Today we heard from a mom who has a son with autism.
She is opening up about struggles inside their home and tips other families can use to navigate in the new normal.

I sat down with lashandra hinton and she opened up to me about her membership with the lowcountry autism foundation and home with her tony-year-old son jordan navigating the schedule that's kind of different than what we are used to, the children us use to being in sch.
She told me yoga has been integral part of the schedule and movement and working on his motor skills and also tells me the performance of caregivers and how they really need to focus on self-care during this really important time.

Caregivers 92ed to take care of themselves and the best that they can.
I say if you have the mo momento balance responsibilities, take a moment to read a book, meditate, anything that can give you release before you go back into the trenches.
>> brooke: now the foundation typically holds monthly family classes for the yoga class.

The foundation is still offering the flagship programs and services that incl includes its family services and speaker series offering that online as well.
