That's according to his communications director jeff bishop.
Senator seward's wife cindy, who also tested positive for the virus, posted to social media on saturday saying he was in a medically induced coma.
She said the senator was on a ventilator since early thursday morning.
Again, his communications director confirming he was removed from the ventilator.
He is being monitored at albany medical center.
