Because of the covid 19 crisis, revenues will be off for the city of st.

Joseph next year.

And this week, the city council is looking to shave $11 million of next year's budget.

Today the council reviewed public works -- which includes city streets.

Over the past several years, city councils have ramped up spending on local road repair.

But with the crisis, council members are proposing a 1-million dollar cut in spending on streets.

The director of public works says it's been hard cutting programs he knows the city needs but can't afford.
