Coronavirus front line workers shown appreciation on land & water

For weeks now residents of Vancouver and its surrounding cities have been gathering outdoors in their neighbourhoods and at hospitals to cheer on the front line workers during this cover 19 pandemic.

Many of the front line workers, being doctors, nurses, paramedics, police and firefighters are working much more than their regular shifts these days.

Some are working 16 hour days for multiple days in a row, trying to keep ahead of this virus and it is wearing them down physically and mentally.

Weeks ago the gatherings began to cheer on these heroes at 7pm.

The numbers of people cheering on the front line workers has grown and even local neighbourhoods can be seen outside their homes banging pots and pans, and honking vehicle horns to be heard at the 7 pm hour.

Small numbers of these front line workers also can be seen outside local hospitals while on their rest breaks, thanking those that are cheering them on.

Multiple police, fire and ambulance vehicles make their way past the hospitals as well when in the area to also show their appreciation for those out cheering them on.

In this video it also shows that not only on the streets of Vancouver and surrounding areas are the vehicles and residents gathering, but also on the water.

Since Vancouver is along the West Coast of British Columbia and is bordered by the Pacific Ocean, there are numerous boat marinas in the area.

Here it shows just such an area, Granville Island which is near the downtown core of Vancouver.

Float homes and many boats are moored in this area, making it the perfect location to see and hear the 7 pm salute to all the front line workers.

It is great seeing everyone come together to support those hard working front line workers that are going above and beyond their duties.
