Dr. "annette nunez" a "psychotherapist" who works wit autistic children regularly.

Says it's all about creating a "new" normal.

That means..

Making a schedule for your child's day..

Providing sensory items to ease anxiety..

And factoring in fun.

Nunez says that for kids right now..

It's like being in a foreign place..

And not speaking the same language.

Without structure---everything feels unusual and confusing.

Her advice?

Bring awareness..

And check up on those around you.

"it's really important to be aware of autism, accept the differences and non- differences and then also to reach out during this time."
