Former Purdue center Matt Haarms transferring to BYU

Haarms chose BYU over Kentucky and Texas Tech.

Haarms announced his decision on instagram this afternoon.

This will take some getting used to ..

The 7-foot-3 amsterdam native chose b-y-u over kentucky and texas tech.

Haarms entered the n-c-a-a transfer portal on april 6.

His initial list of schools included arizona, arkansas, boston college, b-y- u, gonzaga, kentucky, memphis, minnesota, texas tech and u-n-c greensboro.

As a graduate transfer, haarms is immediately eligible to play next season for the cougars ..

Haarms averaged 8.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2 blocked shots a game this past season.

He finished fourth all- time at purdue with 210 blocks.

So haarms to finish his college career out in utah ..
