He said the company extended its deadline for members to return surveys about broadband service.

Employees mailed out over 34 thousand surveys or members can access the survey online..

But the answers have to be in by may 22.

"with the way the world has been in the last few months you seen an increase in a reliance on internet with home schooling and people working from home."

Superintendent eddie peasant said county residents want better internet access.

He said almost 3 thousand of their 5 thousand students may not have access to high speed internet.

"whether it's because it's not available you know because of not being able to afford internet access, we have a high number of those."

This way students can have both options and receive the same education.

If 4 county brings broadband to oktibbeha county..over 10 thousand members would receive high speed internet service.

"we're moving along we just haven't made a final decision yet."

The deadline for the surveys is may 22.

Turner said there will still be a drawing of prizes for members who fill out the survey.

Meanwhile the school district is finding ways to help students who do not have internet access.
