Shear Creativity Salon in Chico closes doors due to COVID-19.

To close her doors.

In chico on salem street and west first--- you'll find little to no foot traffic& cars & or "temporarily" closed shops& due to covid-19& for one shop--- it's not temporary.

Its heartbreaking, that was my baby.

We re did everything in there and it was great to watch it become just a really awesome business& shear creativity salon for men and women is closing permanently.

--- a business she took seven years to open& only to be closed down 3 and a half years later.

"it just happened very rapidly and i just wasn't prepared to come home and make this decision and it was rough&" liliana, the owner was just coming back from her wedding when covid-19 hit.

She says she applied for assistance right away& there's a lot of grants out there that i wanted to apply to but because im a business owner they weren't actually allowing my to apply to them because im guessing they thought i was going to get loan assistance from other stuff& she didn't& dipping into savings, liliana knew the money would run out soon.

So, she decided to close down shop permanently&.

Liliana says she had to let go of four booth renters& not enough people are out there backing us up, realizing how much its affecting this type of industry and i know this is a very stressful time for them and they're in the same boat as me& liliana say she hopes to reunite with her clients and employees at another location when this is all over& there's a lot of people telling them not to do your hair, definitely not condoning it, but if they do it in here for you when we come back and we'll have some fun stories to talk about.
