The Chico Mall is preparing to reopen its doors to the public on Wednesday.

People in Chico have mixed reactions.

We were able to get a variance from butte county to allow the mall to reopen so we were excited to allow the businesses to survive the pandemic and start being profitable again&.

She says they are taking all the precautions.

Natasha shelton: we are going to have some methods in place to safeguard the safety of the employees and shoppers and tenants and hand sanitizers we are encouraging face coverings, some policies have changed.

And not all stores will be open just yet.

Businesses like hair and nail salons will remain closed.
