The number of coronavirus cases continue to spike across the magnolia state and get this, the state reported 98 outbreaks at long term facilities across the state.

As of this afternoon,,, this is what the numbers are looking like in our area... in calhoun county 23 cases and four deaths in chickasaw county, 32 cases and 8 deaths in grenada county 14 cases and 2 deaths over in itawamba county 33 cases and six deaths 37 cases in lafayette county with no reported deaths in lowndes county 9 cases with 4 deaths in monroe county - the hot spot 92 cases and 20 people died from coronavirus.

In noxubee county 14 cases and 3 deaths and in oktibbeha county 28 cases with four deaths in pontotoc county three cases and no deaths in prentiss county 22 cases with 3 deaths and in union county 18 cases with 3 deaths and in yalobusha county, 24 cases with one death over the next two weeks, state health leaders are testing nursing home residents and employees across the state and that includes the yalobusha general hospital's nursing home the hospital reported 24 people tested positive for coronavirus last week.
