Community celebrates Rome veteran's 93rd birthday

Thomas Pultynovich spent his 93rd birthday at Rome Memorial Hospital, but family and others in the community still found a way to make his day special.

Very happy birthday (and( memorial day to a now 93 year old veteran from rome..... who is currently hospitalized.

But that didn't stop the party.

Thomas pultynovich is in rome memorial hospital with congestive heart failure.

His family and friends gathered outside today.... as staff brought him out onto a balcony to wave hello.

Police and fire joined the celebratio too....to thank him for his service in the army and airforce.

Thomas' daughter says her dad isn't asking for much.

I was hoping the fi departnt would lift her up there 1:01:53 collene says her parents met on a blind date while he was stationed at griffiss.

After his time in the service.... he owned memorabilia stores in town and just retired last year.
