Even amid coronavirus, the grants pass active cleld a memorial day ceremony to honor those who have fallen.

The ceremony began with a f-15 flyover nats even though there wasn't a crowd the bagpipes still played nats the national anthem was still sung nats and the taps were still played.

Nats things were different, ceremony participants were spread out and no one shared a mic.

The last few years, local world war ii veterans lay the wreath in the rogue river but this year, it was laid by grants pass active club veterans.

Greg says: "even though we know a lot of those guys in their 90s would be willing to come out and do it still we didn't want to put them at risk" following the wreath laying, there was a three-volley salute nats and a moment of silence nats the ceremonynded with two hydro boats racing down the river, a true mark of grants pass and what is typically a weekend full of boat races and rememberance.

Nats alicia says: "you can find more about other memorial day ceremonies that happened today throughout our area on our website, kdrv.com.
