An update tonight on that devestating house fire that killed a yoncalla teen monday.

The fire broke out at the family home on hayhurst road& where first responders found the girl unresponsive.

Kezi 9 news reporter evita garza shows us how the community has railled to help the family honor the one theye lost.

Stephanie mcdaniel says she'll do anything to help the weinhold family&who lost their 14-year-old daughter... grace.

So& stephanie's accepting donations at her business, jerry mcdaniel auto repair, to give to the family.

And they asked if this could be a place where people could drop off donations?

Mcdaniel says she amazed at how fast the community rallied around the family.

00:37 evita:?the fire happened on monday morning... and in just days, mcdaniel says theye received a number of cash donations for the family to support them as they start over??the outpouring of care and donations for this family has been awesome to see?

Grace was a freshman at yoncalla high school.

I told she was a shining star& and despite some life long medical issues, she played sports, participated in youth group and gave back to the community.

Ie never met a child who smiled as much as she did.

And she brought a smile to everyone face?

Jennifer bragg is the development officer for north douglas betterment.

Their goal is to support people and communities in north douglas county.

She says theye also helping the family by donating food, supplies and what ever cash rasied through gofundme.

Theye absolutely incredible people?

I have all the faith in the world that they will rebuild and be even better than before?

Both bragg and mcdaniel tell me they just want the family to know the community is there for them&and grace will live on in their hearts forever.
