News-- evansville police are investigating an overnight shooting.

Officers were called to north seventh avenue---near the cedar trace apartments for a shots fired call.

After arriving -- first responders found one person who was shot-- that victim was taken to the hospital investigators are asking anyone with information related to this shooting to contact the evansville police department.
