Police are on the hunt this morning for a murderer.

Javion bell -- died in a drive-by shooting - that happened before dawn sunday.

Witnesses say -- bell and his friends were getting out of their car -- when another car driving by started shooting.

This is the 9th murder in the city of evansville this year.

People in the community want peace restored.

It really unfortunate to see such a thing happening here in this residential neighborhood.

Ya know, with small businesses, families, children, because these streets, during the day, wel have kids throwing balls around, riding bikes, ya know, just living life?

Officers say there is no description of the suspect or suspect car.
