Oktibbeha County NAACP President Yulanda Haddix held a meeting and discussed the current Mississippi flag.

The current state flag is a controversial one because of the confederate design.

Happening right now, so the naacp president and the district attorney are speaking to residents about what it means to the community and how they can change it.

Haddix said they are holding the meeting at the courthouse and will discuss changes for the states flagwhich has a confederate symbol on it.

Haddix said they hope lawmakers will hear their call tonight for changes to the current state flag.

Some republicans have already spoken out about changing the flags design..

Haddix said its no more time for talking..but time for action.
