Peaceful protest disrupted in viral video

That's how many have passed since the death of george floyd while in minneapolis police custody.

It's sparked riots, protests and demand for equalitiy and police reform globally.

Tonight we find kimt news 3's kaleb gillock in kasson ... kaleb what can you tell us about a viral video showing a verbal altercation between a local man and a group of protesters.

"* i'm here at the exact spot in kasson where a group of peaceful protesters gathered to demonstrate their support for the black lives matter movement on friday.... but they never imagined what would happen when they were approached by a local property owner.xxx you step one foot on that (explicative) property, you guys are going to be in some deep serious (explicative) is that understood?

While a peaceful protest was taking place on mantorville avenue south on friday... protesters were interuppted by a nearby property owner.

Don't sit there and lip jack me because this is your guys' (explicitive) problem.

Initial reaction was just disgusted.

I mean it's just horrible behavior for anybody to treat anyone that way for any reason so just a really dumb decision by someone to do hat they did.

Mayor mckern says this... you guys need your (explicative) beat is what you (explicative) need.

Is not what he or any mayor want the image of their city to be perceived as.

You have these incidents that happen and it's the few incidents that happen that really kind of tarnish the whole reputation of the entire city and having been here for 20 plus years, i know that doesn't speak for the majority of our population.

Racial tensions and demand for police reform are the focal point across the nation.

Mayor mckren says it's almost impossible for mayors like himself to issue a statement that will stop racism in its tracks... but says it's important to remember that we all have first ammendment rights... so we should take time to educate ourselves before lashing out.

You're not always going to agree and agree to disagree sometimes is an okay conversation to have.

I think if people ust listen and start acting better instead of just making statement or posting something on social media ?

"* the mother of one of the protesters who shared the video posted an update to facebook this afternoon saying that mister paulson... the man in the video.... herself... the other protesters... and some of their parents met at the police station where he issued what seemed to be a sincere apology.

I reached out to her for comment... but have not heard back.
