VP Pence visits Forest City

The Vice President toured Winnebago Industries and ate at Sally's Restaurant.

Before his tour, vice president pence ate here, at "sally's restaurant" in forest city.

It was the first time the restaurant opened it's doors since the pandemic started... and pence made note of that while speaking at "winnebago industries."

We spoke with sally larson, the owner of "sally's restaurant" who says she has no idea why she was chosen to serve the vice president... but that she knows he's a fan of small town restaurants with home?

She says he was very "down to "well at first when i went to double check how everything was, he said, well, to be honest, i was only going to eat a portion of this.

But i'm kind of ending up eating more and had to admit it was one of the best burgers he had had."

She says she first found out about his visit last saturday, and quickly went to work to get everything stocked and sanitized.
